It is definitely important and beneficial when activities in the research sphere fit in and meet the needs and priorities of its target group. When looked at holistically, it is important that research institutions, whether international, regional or national, ensure their research and results meet the need of the countries where they find themselves. This was the core of discussions and a major component of the two-day CGIAR National Consultation on Site Integration held in Nigeria between the 16th and 17th of November 2015.

As part of preparations towards the Third Global Conference on Agricultural Research and Development (GCARD3), the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research(CGIAR) organised this consultation. About Dr. Bukar USMAN, mni

I started as a field Veterinary officer with Borno State Ministry of Agriculture and later joined College of Agric, Maiduguri as a lecture & a Researcher in the Department of Animal Health & Production. I was appointed the Provost of the College In 2003. In 2007 I was appointed Hon. Commissioner & Member Borno State Executive Council and later appointed Permanent Secretary with the Borno State Civil Service in 2009. I was the National Facilitator Animal Health, National Programme For Food Security of the Federal Ministry of Agric & Rural Development, Abuja. I was Director, Veterinary Medicine & Allied Products (VMAP) and now Director North East Zone NAFDAC. I’m a member of the National Institute’ (mni), Kuru SEC 40, 2018. I engaged myself in various aspects of the veterinary profession. I founded Sril Group Ltd, Nigeria.

Oh my God! I missed the hit I have been looking for! Dr do help me. I need materials that will give me the privilege those who happened to be in the meeting had.

Please sir, I will read, listen, stream and view the link or whatever you can supply. I do hope to pay for materials if need be. All I desire is to be a researcher whose work address the age long question of the diligent, sincere and seemingly locked up farming souls.

I want them liberated as they are the very spring of the very profession of any sort that put food on the table of human family.
